Welcome to Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program

Thank you for visiting Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program. Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program is a unique K-12 school program set in rural Northwestern Ontario. It is the only K-12 school program in the district. We are a part of the Rainy River District School Board and have a strong working relationship with the district Christian Parents' Association.

Note to Parents,

SCREEN EVERY CHILD EVERY DAY.  https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/

If a child fails the screen and is unvaccinated (has fever/chills, cough/barking cough, shortness of breath, decreased or loss of taste, nausea/vomiting or diarrhea):

  1. DO NOT send child to school.
  2. DO NOT send sibling(s) to school if the child staying home has failed the screen. (Siblings or other unvaccinated people in the home must stay home until the symptomatic person tests negative or are cleared by the local health unit or diagnosed with another illness).

REMINDER: There are to be no visitors to SCAP at this time, including parents/caregivers.  If you have any questions, please contact the school at 482-3838.
